| Bluephone Launched in 1989, the Bluephone represented a more lightweight and flexible public phone model, designed primarily for use in supervised environments. Key features included: -Call restriction capabilitie -A digital counter to track calls between coin box clearances -Hinged front access with a Bi-Lock key system -A switchable “owner mode” for configuration and diagnostics Manufactured by GPT, the Bluephone shared similarities with models in use by British Telecom (BT) in the UK. Its lighter construction made it unsuitable for unsupervised locations, but it served well in public buildings and semi-secure environments. |

| Above- the original British version. The British payphone model 390+ was manufactured by GPT (GEC-Plessey Telecommunications). GPT was a major supplier of telecommunications equipment in the UK during the 1980s and 1990s, formed from a joint venture between GEC and Plessey. The 390+ model was a ruggedised public payphone developed primarily for British Telecom (BT), and it was widely used in the UK from the late 1980s through the 1990s. It was an upgrade of the earlier 390 model, offering enhanced security and functionality, including digital signaling compatibility and improved coin handling. |
