A futuristic offshoot of the smartcard family, these units featured a large LCD touchscreen interface in place of a physical keypad. Designed exclusively for smartcard use, they had a limited run. Filled the awkward time between the internet invention and smartphones.

K2-01 – Multimedia Smartcard Payphones

A futuristic offshoot of the smartcard family, these units featured a large LCD touchscreen interface in place of a physical keypad. Designed exclusively for smartcard use, they offered features such as:
-Email sending
-Access to Yellow and White Pages
-Possibly printing screen content
-No traditional dial or keypad was included, and all input was via the touchscreen interface. As of the latest sightings, these units remain rare and experimental.
