BT Canadian King Plastics ‘King 511’

The Canadian King Plastics “King 511” telephone booth appeared briefly in British Telecom trials in the early 1980s, alongside the slimmer King 540 and several French Meclec kiosks. Made from moulded plastics, it reflected experimentation with lightweight materials. The model gained minor cinematic fame through its appearance in the film Dead Ringers.
