Northern Electric 223-H Payphone

The 1959 Northern Electric 223H is a Canadian three-slot, ten-cent prepay payphone. It features cast-metal construction, rotary dial operation, and central-office-controlled electro-mechanical coin relay and hopper. Part of Northern Electric’s 220-series, it represents late-1950s refinement of Canadian Bell paystation design prior to later modernization.
