OTE plastic booth enclosures, Greece, early 1970s. Part of the modernisation of public telephony around 1970, installed just like in other Western countries, to add a bit of acoustic privacy and mark the location of the payphone. Cheap and easy to install.

Above- interesting recent Cypriot booths. The ones on the left are a variant of the British KX series, and the one on the right is Spanish (with a Danish GNT payphone).
